John is an extremely affable, knowledgeable and skilled tutor. His classes are relaxed, very friendly and flexible.  People are free to work on their own projects, which he will advise on, or engage in the set class activity, which introduces a variety of techniques over the weeks. It’s a really enjoyable and rewarding experience which I would recommend to anyone interested in developing their interest in painting and drawing.

Always enjoy my weekly art class with John. He is so patient and skilled. We always learn something and are inspired to try out new techniques. Also a relaxed and friendly group and way better value than other art classes in the area.

John Madeley is an extremely talented professional artist. He enjoys sharing his skills and teaching students of all ages and abilities. His classes are all well attended many students travelling great distances .while the class has a studious atmosphere there is great friendship and laughter John is inspirational and encouraging always drawing out the best from those he teaches..

I really enjoyed my lesson yesterday. I found it very therapeutic. I’m looking forward to painting my Christmas tree next week!

I haven't attempted to draw or paint since I was a child.. I joined John's classes and am having so much fun exploring different techniques and having a go! I learn something new every week and I love being able to fully immerse myself in the task at hand. It is so therapeutic. We are a mixed abilities group which makes it ever so interesting and my fellow class mates are so friendly. A wonderful non-judgemental environment to explore how to create art. I love this course.
