Where and how will I learn; lessons will mostly take place in the venue. Weather permitting, efforts will be made to have class’s en plein air (field trips). Each new topic/theme or technique will be introduced and demonstrations given both to the whole group and on a small group/one-to-one basis. Throughout you will receive one-to-one support according to your individual needs, theme or medium. At all times you will be given the time and space to explore and learn at your own pace, with people who share your interest and passion for art. All classes are friendly and welcoming. No strangers are allowed, only friends we’ve not met before.

What sort of experience should I have; No prior knowledge or experience is required. A desire to learn is essential.

How do I know how well I’m doing; You will be given verbal feedback on your work at regular intervals during each session and throughout the course.

What art materials do I need to bring? You will need an A3 drawing Pad or loose sheets, 2B, 4B & 6B pencils and a putty rubber. Please also bring any art materials you may have at home. While the tutor has a range of materials and mediums for you to initially try out, you are encouraged to purchase your own in the long term. The tutor will advise you on what to buy and where. Materials can be ordered via the tutor.
